Le Mas des Oliviers is a lovely restored stone house set in beautifully landscaped grounds leading to a swimming pool and relaxation deck. The country style interior has a comfortable feeling which enhances the casual and informal atmosphere. The newly fitted kitchen is fully equipped to prepare meals using locally sourced fresh produce, whilst the 2 outdoor terraces are ideally positioned to enjoy the morning sun over breakfast or the evening sunsets with a chilled aperitif. On the ground floor there is also a cosy dining room and a veranda room in which to relax and unwind, a large double bedroom with french windows opening out onto the rear terrace, a shower room and a utility room, whilst upstairs is a large double or family room, a further bedroom suitable for 2 and a family bathroom. The owners live discreetly in a seperate villa in the grounds and are happy to provide a Table D’Hote service, whilst Monika is delighted to invite you to view or join in her Atelier d’Art activities.

Saint Etienne d’Escattes is a small hamlet situated a short drive away from the lively village of Calvisson and the busy market town of Sommières in the Gard, both served with excellent amenities for ‘everyday living’ and gastronomic restaurants.

Le Mas des Oliviers is a hidden gem and an oasis of calm situated on a lovely country lane and nestled amongst the vineyards with views over the stunning Pic Saint Loup in the distance from its beautiful landscaped gardens, This is an oustanding location between the vast sandy beaches of the Mediterranean and the Cevennes Mountains and yet with easy access to the vibrant cosmopolitan towns of Nimes and Montpellier.

For the sporty there are endless activities including golf, walking, cycling, swimming, canoeing, horseriding, canyoning and even paragliding! Around and about there are sites of historic significance within an hour in all directions, such as the magnificent Papal City of Avignon; the fabulous Duchy town of Uzès and the majestic 2000 year old Pont du Gard, one of the most visited tourist sites in France; Arles, the celebrated Provençal town with its artistic connections to Van Gogh and Gaugin; and Chateauneuf-du-Pape, home of the exceptional Cotes du Rhone wine.
